I am a licensed dental hygienist. I did not discover the passion of my life – dentistry – straight away. I have always felt a strong pull towards the natural sciences. Observing nature and learning from it, understanding its laws, discovering the perfect and ingenious structure and regularities of living organisms – that is what reflects my nature.

I devoted my first six years of study to molecular biology and went deep into microbiology. This knowledge has undoubtedly broadened my horizons as an oral care specialist. Most importantly, in my profession I found what fascinates me most – the chance to communicate, share knowledge and help people through the prevention of oral diseases.

Studying dental hygiene was an important step that gave me the essential foundations of the specialty. Fascinated by this field of medicine, I took part in many trainings, conferences, courses and seminars. I have gained more than thirteen years of clinical experience; working in a team with the very best specialists in their field, I have shaped my professional approach and my need to keep improving. Today I know that I can help many people keep their smile healthy and clean.

A dental hygienist's work is not limited to teaching people how to brush their teeth. Seen more broadly, we are among the first specialists who can notice early symptoms of diabetes, signs of eating disorders and oral cancer changes, the first signs of atherosclerosis or cardiovascular disease. Looking at the body as a whole, the latest scientific studies show that many serious diseases are accompanied by oral diseases such as periodontitis and gingivitis. In this case, by treating gum disease we indirectly contribute to the treatment of other diseases.

Drawing on many years of practice and experience, I am convinced that the care of teeth and dental implants should be individualised, taking into account the patient's needs and possible risk factors such as smoking, diabetes or periodontitis. As an oral care specialist, I assess each patient's situation and give individualised care recommendations, within the limits of my competence.

I stress that successful care of teeth and dental implants requires a consistent and responsible approach both from patients and from the dental specialist. Only through cooperation and the right oral hygiene practices is it possible to ensure the long-term viability of teeth and implants and to achieve the best possible treatment results.
